You can see details of upcoming Christianity Explored courses here.

  • Is there really a God?
  • Is there any purpose to life?
  • Is there life beyond death?

You might be asking these questions – or any number of others. The unique thing about the Christian message is that it says all the answers can be found in Jesus. In fact, that's what Jesus himself said. He said he was the Son of God who'd become human and stepped into his own world to bring us back into relationship with God his Father:

Jesus said…, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.' (John 14.6)

So Jesus was saying, 'I am the only way back into relationship with God. And I am the truth about God – if you've seen me, you've seen God. And I can give you life as it was meant to be – now and beyond death.'

Now those are big claims – but if they're true then Jesus gives us the answers to all our big questions about life. And the Bible doesn't just ask us to believe those claims with no evidence. The Bible is the record of how God promised to send his Son into the world – and then kept that promise by sending Jesus to live, die for our forgiveness, and then rise again from the dead to be the rightful ruler of our lives. It claims that those things really happened – and invites us to check them out for ourselves.

Some people like to do that by just coming along on Sundays. But another way is to join our Christianity Explored course. It's a chance to look at what Jesus said and did, according to Mark's Gospel, and to talk over all the doubts and questions you have. You can find out more about the course here. And if you'd like to find out more straight away about what Christians believe and what it means to become a Christian, there's a talk you can read, listen to, or watch.
